Guest Form - Live Show
MythWits Show Format
We ask that you join us at 9:15pm ET (East Coast time, USA) so that we can make sure to establish a solid connection with you before the show begins. That way we aren't trying to resolve any connection issues while people are watching. We will bring you in by sending you an emailwith a link. Click the link and you're in (Google Hangout) - easy peezy. We try to do all the work for you.
This is a video show. You will need to have a camera and a microphone and if you can please use headphones as it reduces echo. Also, please leave your lights on. The more light you have in the room, the better you show up and the greater your video quality will be. Web cams get grainy in low light. If there are two of you, our set up works best if you are on separate computers. However, this is not a requirement. It just helps to keep you both completely in the shot.
Intro Segment: The panel will hear the music intro and Pete will do opening intro. Everyone should remain quite while he does his bit. When he announces your name, please say hi so the people will know who you are.
Introduction: Hosts and guest(s) names and “From” (typically your company or project, or your website).
Interview (~40 min): This is where we talk to you all about... You. We will make sure to hit all of the points you want to cover and avoid all those you do not. We generally veer off the rails if the conversation goes that way and is entertaining. At the end of this segment we will give you the opportunity to plug away with all of your promotional links and/or announcements. This is where you give us your webpage, Facebook page, twitter, email, or whatever it is that you want the audience to use to reach out to you or follow you. It is at this point that you are welcome to leave us or stick around for some more fun (which can be the funniest part of the show).
Short Segment (~10 min): There may be a segment here. This is often the News, a comedy bit, or something of that nature. You are encouraged to comment on this and feel free to ridicule the bit if it stinks. That's often the best part of the bit.
End Credits: There's music and talking as Pete ends the show. We ask that you remain quite during this. He will then kill the stream. We'll say goodnight to you and this is where you hang up. The hosts stay on to talk about the next show and any business they need to discuss.
This form will serve as an opportunity for us to collect the most important information about you, the guest, and how we can best include this information throughout the show.
